Some of our projects.
Citect SCADA Upgrade
ICA recently completed an upgrade from an unsupported version of Citect to the latest version. We worked with the client to produce minimum downtime on the SCADA server and therefore minimal loss of data on the site. The upgrade included new hardware with RAID 1 storage. With many ageing Citect versions still in production today, ICA has the experience to help you upgrade your system.
Water Pump Station
ICA completed the programming and commissioning of a pump station and booster station supplying a large irrigation pipeline. The project included PLC, VSD, HMI SCADA and RTU programming as well as commissioning various fieldbus protocols. The irrigation pipeline supplies 60 Remote sites which all communicate information back to a central ClearSCADA server, also commissioned by ICA. The remote sites leverage the 4G network in order to provide usage information for the purpose of billing customers.
Machine Refurbishment
A number of companies have approached ICA in regards to old machines coming to end of life. One such machine was a garlic bread cutting, filling and packing machine. The machine was still mechanically functional however had an obsolete control system with replacement parts hard to obtain. ICA removed and upgraded the control system. The machine is now also electrically ready to continue to run well into the future.
Remote Automation of Sites
ICA completed the programming for an upgrade to a customer’s irrigation system from a manual system to an automated actuator system. This required us to integrate with the existing Rubicon ordering system. These orders are now seamlessly imported into the ClearSCADA server. The orders are sent to 110 remote sites which fulfill orders at the given order times for the required amounts of water. The task involved on site programming of RTUs and programming and configuration of the SCADA server to accept orders from the external ordering system as well as transmittal of order info to each site.
Custom Machinery
ICA has worked with a number of OEMs to program custom machinery for manufacturers across the country. Working from conceptual design through to commissioning we have successfully delivered a number of projects with our partners.
Starch Transfer System Upgrade
ICA was approached by a client who was having difficulty understanding how a system installed on site was actually working. The client was finding large amounts of contamination in their production and was unable to determine the cause. ICA upgraded the control system with a new HMI and PLC, removing obsolete items. We were also able to greatly improve the HMI display showing the exact operation of the system and therefore showing any potential causes of contamination. Additionally, the process was added to the onsite SCADA system, logging the operation of the machine and allowing in-depth fault finding by the onsite process team.
